A tribute to the Mediterranean
Echoing the origins of Maje, the new boutique embodies the Mediterranean spirit, a shared source of inspiration for Judith Milgrom, the brand’s founder, and interior architect Valeriane Lazard. Their shared vision draws on the mellow light and strength of the natural materials of the Mediterranean.Together, they have designed a place where craftsmanship is central, in homage to the authenticity of authentic handiwork. Each element is conceived as a unique piece: the hammered wrought iron evokes the simple elegance of traditional workshops, the Portuguese ceramics are reminiscent of the jars in the Mediterranean basin, and the curved furniture reflects the welcoming spirit of Judith’s roots.
The new decor reflects Maje's sunny vision of radiant femininity, where Parisian elegance meets the generosity of the South.
Radiant light and materials
This Mediterranean inspiration is expressed in a subtle dialogue between natural materials and light itself. On the façade, a rich "marron glacé" brown opens onto a world dominated by warm tones: the rosy Raujolles terracotta on the floor evokes the soft mineral ambiance of southern villages, while the lime-rendered walls form a light-filled canvas. Oiled wood and organic cane add vibrant textures that contrast with the modernity of the glass surfaces. Further on, mirrors and shelves in tinted glass diffuse dappled light, creating reflections reminiscent of the sun on water or on Mediterranean façades.
The result is a setting in which every material and every light has its own place. A perfect balance between authentic craftsmanship and contemporary elegance.
