Vision

Supporting women's creative work
Created in 1998 by Judith Milgrom, Maje celebrates a radiant and confident femininity. With this in mind, the brand highlights emerging female creative talent through artistic collaborations, mentoring and support for associations. A commitment that makes female empowerment central to its identity.

Judith Milgrom, a radiant vision

In 1998, Judith Milgrom founded Maje with a clear ambition: to offer women a wardrobe that makes them feel feminine everywhere, and at all times.

Brought up in Morocco and then Paris, she knew from an early age that she wanted to dress women in her own style. Self-taught, she quickly learnt her craft with passion and energy, turning this intuition into a radiant creative vision with femininity at its heart. Her family also occupied a special place in it, reflected in the 4 letters that spell out the brand. M for Moyal, her maiden name, A for Alain, her brother and co-founder, J for Judith and E for Evelyne, her sister.

Judith’s achievements have been recognised multiple times. In 2011, she was awarded the Femme en Or trophy in the Woman of Style category, and in 2017 she was made a Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur.

Committed to women

True to the values of its founder, Maje is committed to female empowerment and actively supports young designers.

This commitment is expressed through various initiatives all progressing in the same direction. The brand began by developing collaborations with emerging female artists, giving them valuable exposure while expanding its own universe. At the same time, it supports associations dedicated to the personal and professional development of women.

Through this global approach, Maje is extending its original vision and making female empowerment a defining part of its identity.
